Now if you didn't read any of that, here's a summary: In the last 48 hours, the dA staff has done some minor changes to the site that, in my opinion, can and will create a huge reaction from the community. If not right now, then over time.

The changes:
They renamed the "subscription" to "premium membership".
They moved the green text that used to say "subscribed" or "not subscribed" to the left, where it now says "premium member" with a link to the page where you can renew your subscription.
If a subscribed deviant got the subscription as a donation from another member, they will have the donator's name on their front page for the entire course of the subscription. It's not optional.
This means that if you donate your name will be plastered on the reciever's front page for as long as the subscription runs.
On the front page of non-subscribers it now says "needs premium membership" instead of "not subscribed"!

I know it looks like small changes that won't have an impact, yet it does! I feels like they're telling me I'm better than non-subscribers just because I got money for Christmas or something! I've been thinking about donating some subs whenever I get money but I won't do that before they remove the text that's going to say that I gave away a subscription.

I don't want people to feel like they're being forced to subscribe, and I don't want subscribers to think or feel that they're better because they have a few extra dollars! I think it's downright rude!
